Introduction to R - Workshop Sponsored by CCGT In-Person
This workshop will introduce members of the Clemson community to the coding language R, with an emphasis on applications for mapping and data viz. R is a powerful tool for working with large datasets, running statistical analyses, and visualizing data. The workshop is intended for those who do not have prior experience with R, providing attendees an opportunity to explore the foundations of this coding language in a hands-on setting. It will cover loading data into R, how to search and subset datasets, how to modify/add new fields, and how to create plots from the data. The goal of the workshop is to give attendees the tools they need to begin working with their own data in R. A specific focus will be on the code, packages, and tools that can be used to load, edit, and visualize spatial datasets.
