Understanding AI Tools for Locating Reliable Information Online
This is a hybrid event that will take place both via Zoom and in the 309 Learning Lab
After attending this session, participants should:
- Be able to define the terms "artificial intelligence," "machine learning," "large language model," and "neural network" as they apply to the use of AI tools for use specifically in research (finding sources, visualizing data, etc)
- Recognize the benefits and limitations of AI tools for finding reliable information
- Identify and explain the differences between various types of AI for use in research, as defined by their capabilities and computational mechanisms
