Cybersecurity at Clemson: Are you secure? In-Person

Speaker Hal Stone, Director, Information Security and Privacy, will describe developments in cybersecurity and steps being taken to ensure safety and privacy. Cybersecurity is defined as the protection of computer systems from theft and damage to hardware, software, or information, as well as from disruption or misdirection of the services. The field is of growing importance due to the increasing reliance on computer systems and the Internet, wireless networks such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, the growth of "smart" devices, including smartphones, televisions, and tiny devices as part of the Internet of Things. This workshop is intended for a general audience, but especially those who have the responsibility for managing records in offices and departments.
