Teaching Institute Designed for Libraries In-Person

The libraries will be hosting a two day teaching institute during which library instructors will have an opportunity to discuss our roles as teachers, definitions for media, digital and information literacies, explore learning theories, scholarly teaching, and active learning techniques. There will also be an opportunity to practice your teaching in an environment where you can get feedback from your peers. This will be followed during the fall semester by a series of teacher forums and further peer observation opportunities. Those who do not attend the Institute are welcome to attend any or all of the Teacher Forums and/or participate in any peer observation of teaching during the fall semester. Both the institute and the teacher forums will be co-hosted by the Clemson Office of Teaching Effectiveness and Innovation and the Library instruction Team.
